When you use the website

To stop spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks technical signals from your browser and device, including your IP address. We also briefly check your IP address so the same address can’t send lots of forms in a few minutes. We don’t store that address with your enquiry.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, roughly where you are (from your IP address), your device and browser, and how you found us. We see this as totals, not as named people. If you reject them, none of this is collected. Our cookie policy has the details.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry, arrange your visit, design your furniture and give you a quote. The law allows this because you’ve asked us to take these steps before a possible contract.
  • To make and fit your furniture if you go ahead, because we need to in order to carry out our contract with you.
  • To keep records such as invoices, because the law requires us to.
  • To understand how the website is used, only with your consent. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page.
  • To keep our forms free of spam, because we have a legitimate interest in the website working properly.

We don’t use your enquiry details for marketing, and we never sell them.

How long we keep it

[CONFIRM: how long enquiries that don’t go ahead are kept, and how long customer records are kept.]

Google Analytics data is kept for [CONFIRM: GA4 data retention setting, 2 or 14 months].

Who we share it with

We only share your details with the companies that help us run the website and the business:

  • Hostinger, which hosts the website and its PostgreSQL database on our server
  • Cloudflare, which protects the website, routes traffic securely and checks forms for abuse
  • Resend, which delivers our emails
  • Google, for Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies
  • WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there

Some of these companies store data outside the UK. When they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by contract terms approved for UK transfers.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • correct anything that’s wrong
  • delete your data, where we don’t need to keep it
  • stop or limit how we use it
  • send it to you or another company in a common format

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We’ll reply within one month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
